Let's go!

It’s confusing to live in another country than your own. Especially if you start liking it. You start questioning yourself and people around you, you start looking at things from another perspective. You get torn between wanting to stay in the adventure and wanting to go back home to family and friends. 

Now it is soon time for decisions. Time to start thinking about the summer, or maybe even next semester (I noticed that  international students has to apply for studies here sometime in March). Should I stay or should I go? What I want to say with all this is that it is okay to be confused. Therefore I want to share my life philosophy with you: as long as you are having fun, you’re good. Take one semester at a time, do what feels right. It’s great to have future goals and dreams but do not let them come in your way of what feels good for the moment.

This weekend I am going to Linköping for ESN Sweden National Platform – a two day conference where we, Stockholm University Student Union, hopefully will be voted in as a section in the Erasmus Student Network. They just send me the schedule for these two days and honestly, it is a good thing I’m still young. Meetings and workshops all day and the mandatory theme parties all nights. Me and Emma said it once, and I am saying it again, this job is not for people who does not like partying.

IT IS important to remember that you are still young, and that you can always take more than you think! Not long ago I was saying the phrase « I’m too old for this shit » all the time. I felt tired, confused and fed up with parties. Well, apparently that has changed. You are never too old. Bring out the kid inside you and its all a matter of attitude. Needless to say is that I am very excited for this week’s big party – White Night at Club Union. And guess who has to be at work at 09:00 the day after...

If you hesitate to stay in the adventure, I just have one thing to say- DO IT. Get out there, have fun, go crazy, get dirty. And please stop worrying about the future.
