Welcome to an open lecture with Effective Altruism
Do we have any moral obligations to help people in need? If so, what are these obligations? How can we do the most good with our lives?
Welcome to a discussion about the foundations of effective altruism, a social movement consisting of people that use reason and evidence to find ways of improving the world as much as possible.
No previous knowledge is required to participate in the discussion. We'll start by watching a Ted Talk by Australian moral philosopher Peter Singer, and then spend the rest of the time discussing some important questions relating to effective altruism.
We offer free fika!
